We're beginning to see a pattern here. It works like this: Turbo-charged gamer rigs get into the hands of reviewers; write-ups discuss gaming, but also comment on how the machines are perfect for other tasks; accountants and admins across the country...

Ok...
Gaming performance that just won't stop ; Relatively compact for hardware inside
What, no room for a 4th Titan X ; Where's the custom liquid cooling
How fast are three Titan X cards? When I first received the rig I ran 3DMark's FireStrike Ultimate, which lets you compare results run at 4K resolution against Futuremark's massive database of results. The Mach V landed in the top 40.

Falcon Northwest's largely excellent Mach V (Intel Core i7-3770K) gaming desktop is held back by its standard-clocked, mainstream processor.
Excellent performance. Attractively designed, inside and out.
Not the fastest system available in most tests. Interior is not completely tool-free.

Falcon Northwest Mach V (Core i7 3930K
This latest ; features Intel's new six-core CPU, a new motherboard chipset, and the usual assortment of high-end components.
Gamers won't see much benefit from Intel's new chip compared with the old flagship Core i7, and the imposing Mach V case isn't for everyone.
Well-heeled gamers with professional-level application performance needs should look into this statement-making Falcon Northwest Mach V, but you can spend far less and still enjoy top-notch gaming with an older CPU.

With top-of-the-line components, including Intel's new Sandy Bridge processor, the Falcon Northwest Mach V (Core i7-2600K) is an uber-gaming desktop PC. What's surprising is that it comes in at less than $5,000.
High-end 3D performance. High-end multimedia performance. Good build quality. Intelligent thermal design. No Bloatware. Plenty of high speed ports: FireWire, USB 3.0, eSATA. Doesn't get as hot as competition. Comparatively quiet.
It's big. DIY Internal hard drive upgrades less convenient.

No expense was spared for the Mach V: Its 3.2-GHz processor is overclocked by 800 MHz, and the machine packs three Nvidia GeForce GTX 280...
Pretty quiet. Go ahead, run everything at once while you try to hack the NSA: You’ve got 8 GB of RAM. Combination Blu-ray and HD-DVD drive. The best all-around PC of the bunch
Load times are quick, but those drives won’t help games play any speedier. Airbrushed aluminum case ain’t exactly pretty. You can game faster for half the price

We've come to expect a quality product from Falcon Northwest, and the newest evolution of the Mach V is no exception.

Gaming specialist Falcon Northwest has put together another fast, well-designed machine, but the 80GB of hard drive space is somewhat skimpy for video authoring.

Falcon Northwest Mach V
Runs on the fastest processor available; includes audiophile-quality speakers; DVD burner useful for making home movies and backing up files; custom paint job looks sharp.
High price will scare off many; no CD-RW drive for speedy CD burning; Falcon's valet service not as fast as onsite support.
Cheap, it is not. But the Falcon Northwest Mach V combines top-notch performance and first-rate components like no other.

You can't truly appreciate the paint job on Falcon Northwest's Mach V unless you can fondle it. We mean it—you just can't comprehend how damn smooth the paint is without lovingly stroking your hand on the side of this beauty as if you were a...
The smoothest paint job we've seen in a long time; damned fast
Expensive; an SLI rig will never beat a tri-SLI config
So how does the Falcon stack up? It’s wicked fast and handily pounds the crap out of our elderly zero-point system, as well as the majority of the Core i7-990X boxes we’ve tested in the last year. But how does it stack up against the Digital Storm...
