I bought the 9000f. It stopped working after 18-20 months. You have to question the quality of their products. Their customer service is terrible. I even had dealings with the Dept of Fair Trading and they were still not interested. I have not come...

Hopeless people to deal with

 

I ordered this scanner through a Sydney company Techoni.com/au. It has been 12 days now. since I ordered. (And Paid). I am still waiting.! They will not communicate via Email After reading the feed back on this scanner I am sorry to have ordered this...

I have used many scanners over the years including prepress scanners. I have also used canon's FS4000US dedicated film scanner and I have concluded that I will be going back to Epson Perfection scanners 4xxx series very soon. My 9900F has now developed...

Fast scan times for anything up to 800dpi. Reasonably good colour reproduction (although Epson's still seem to have this one in the bag). Nice metal/aluminuim top and overall styling. Firewire and USBv2 intefaces.

Very slow slide and negative scan times especially with dust removal enabled. I have also experienced similar problems as Greg Lehey with regard to incorrect rotation of slides. It seems incredible that you cannot simply tell the scanner that you have...

Terrible

 

It doesn't do the job I bought it for (scanning slides).

The scanner seems to be correctly built and capable of scanning some originals, noticably paper.

It is supplied with software that Canon acknowledge is broken. That doesn't stop them from advertising it, though they did refund my purchase price because they were not able to make it perform as advertised. See my review page at...
