V7 D24W33 review: V7 D24W33

V7 D24W33

Inexpensive; excellent overall performance, particularly with DVD and games playback; minimal backlight bleed-through; screen rotation wider than most; useful pivot feature for office tasks; includes HDMI-to-DVI cable.

Narrow viewing angle; sparse video connections; volume on speakers is too low; a low maximum brightness.

Its video connections and viewing angles are limited, but the V7 D24W33 is about the cheapest 24-inch LCD monitor you'll find and proved itself to be a solid overall performer.

D24W33

It's hard to see how V7 manages to load the D24W33 with so many features and yet undercut the competition on price. Don't let the monitor's inelegant name--a cacophony of letters and numbers--turn you off: This $385 (as of May 19, 2008) model packs a...

Fully adjustable Very inexpensive

No USB ports Poor OSD menu

If you want a monitor that delivers vivid colors for use with digital photos, gaming, or watching movies, the V7 D24W33 will disappoint. On the other hand, for general Internet, word processing, and business applications, few 24-inch displays offer...

V7 D24W33

The V7 D24W33 is a reasonably priced 24-inch display with a fast pixel response and a flexible stand.

Fast pixel response. Highly adjustable stand. Good small-text reproduction. Reasonably priced.

Limited multimedia connections. Narrow vertical viewing angle. So-so grayscale performance.

Review: V7 D24W33 LCD monitor

The V7 D24W33 is a pretty average display when it comes to performance. But with a below-average price and some nice features, this monitor will appeal to budget-conscious shoppers looking for a display that shows more than just spreadsheets and Web...

The D24W33 can be rotated into portrait mode and has a height-adjustable stand. The display includes an analog VGA port as well as an HDMI input, but it's lacking a DVI port, the type of connection used by most Macs. For compatibility, the D24W33 does...

V7 D24W33-N6 Black 24" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 1000:1

Not a bad panel for the price. If there was not any input lag in online games, I would have given this a 5.

Good colors, great stand, no ghosting/tearing, user defined overdrive options (0-5), no dead pixels

Short cables (as another reviewer wrote) ; Online gaming (quake 3) suffers from input lag (although this does not seem to affect non-online games) ; Backlight bleeding prominent on left/ right, and bottom

No RMA for Bad Pixels

At least there weren't 5 bad pixels, right?

Nice big screen, high resolution, great stand which allows for 90 degree clockwise rotation. Comes with software which rotates the output. Budget priced ; HDMI port works with my PS3

2 bad pixels in top left corner. Called V7 customer support, learned that they don't issue RMA unless there are 6 or more bad pixels
