Able Planet's radically liberal approach to DSP with the Clear Harmony NC1020 seems to create more problems than solutions.
Able Planet’s radically liberal approach to DSP with the Clear Harmony NC1020 seems to create more problems than solutions. We enjoyed the headphone’s affinity for detail, but its bright mids, pounding bass, and Kodachrome color treatment of the music...

Is the clarity of these noise cancelling headphones enough to make them Bose-beaters?
Great clarity, Good comfort
Sub-Bose build and cancellation, Suffer from mobile phone interference, Unbalanced bass

The Able Planet Clear Harmony NC1050 offers excellent audio performance and very good noise cancellation, making it a solid competitor in a crowded field led by Bose.
Excellent audio performance with strong bass, clear highs, and no distortion. Quality active noise cancellation. Extremely comfortable fit, ideal for long listening sessions.
A slight hiss is occasionally detectable when noise cancellation is activated. Uses AAA batteries instead of a rechargeable cell.

They're just as expensive as the Bose QuietComfort 15s but sacrifice sound quality for oversaturated bass tonality.
The Able Planet NC1100B noise-canceling headphones match up to their Bose competitors in many respects, but the sound quality falls short and the noise canceling is lacking.

Able Planet Clear Harmony active noise-cancelling headphones
The Clear Harmony active noise-canceling headphones offer dramatic noise reduction and a rich listening experience.
The Clear Harmony is an expensive product, and Able Planet has yet to establish a reputation on high-end audio turf.
The Clear Harmony holds its own against the competition. But without a price incentive, few users will risk choosing an unknown brand over an established one.

The AblePlanet Clear Harmony NC300s are an upgraded version of their predecessors, the NC200s. For a $300 price tag, you'll get a bump in quality all across the board. As with other active-cancellers, however, the NC300s don't have the best audio...
The AblePlanet Clear Harmony NC300s are a pretty solid upgrade from the NC200s. Almost every area is improved, and the price has jumped to match. The headphones performed well on our tests for a pair of active-cancellers, but couldn't isolate as well...
