DeLonghi PAC-L90

This portable A/C works better than the other ones that several of my friends purchased to survive this summer in rented apartments. Even when the temperature reached 100 degrees, it kept the room down around 70 on full speed.

When it worked it was ok

well worked ok for a few weeks then started seeing oddities. not blowing air but exhost still going etc. then seemed to get to cold. and now blowing but not cold .. worm room temp. Comp not coming on

Cools two good size rooms about 400 SF. on a moderate setting. The noise level is much less than a standard window unit, I have it behind my chair and have no trouble hearing the TV

Mine also arrived with the broken window ducts, however I attribute this more to the fact that it looks like UPS cannot handle a package this large without it arriving looking like they dropped it off the back of the truck doing 60mph. BAD UPS BADD

Portable AC's are great as they allow you to have a large amount of flexibility of use generally at a larger price tag than a fixed window unit. If you get a working unit( I had 2 shipped to me that ""somehow"" became damaged, 3 times was the charm...
