Telstra EasyTouch Discovery 3 review: A 3G mobile phone specifically targeted at seniors and older Australians
Large buttons ; Easy to use ; Good call quality
Overpriced ; Glossy finish is a fingerprint magnet
Telstra's EasyTouch Discovery 3 is a sensible option for those who just want basic mobile phone functions without confusing bells and whistles. However, we think it's a little too expensive given its limited capabilities.
Expertenbewertung von : Ross Catanzariti (goodgearguide.com.au)
Designed for seniors and first-time mobile users.
Large buttons, numbers read out aloud when pressed, help tutorial and DVD, reasonable features list, excellent call quality
Flimsy feeling hinge, front surface is fingerprint magnet, ugly and bland design
The EasyTouch Discovery will appeal to plenty of users, specifically those who appreciate the feel of large buttons and those who are new to the world of mobile phones.

The EasyTouch Discovery is the perfect first phone for people who are not confident with mobile technology. Designed for ease of use, the Discovery has a few extra toys to play with once you've mastered the basics.
Excellent practical design, Largest keypad we've seen recently, Audible feedback when typing, Instructional DVD, Next G services
Boxy, ugly handset, Over-sensitive microphone, Small screen not great for web
The EasyTouch Discovery is the perfect first phone for people who are not confident with mobile technology. Designed for ease-of-use, the Discovery excels as a phone, but also has a few extras to play with once you've mastered the basics.

I agree with Sponge Boy re the upper and lower case. I loathe pre-emptive text, having to re-set with every message. I don't need a voice telling me each number I am punching in, couldn't wait to get rid of that. It's not user friendly. I have gone...
