Sharp FX Plus (AT&T) review

It's good to see tier-one carriers giving smaller manufacturers a chance. The Sharp FX Plus for AT&T follows in the footsteps of the original Sharp FX . Like its predecessor, the "Plus" version is also a side-slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard,...

The Sharp FX Plus is a side-sliding Android smartphone with a decent keyboard, good call quality, and 2GB external memory preloaded.

Battery life is short on Sharp's FX Plus, and the 600MHz processor slows things down. The keyboard keys are also a tad flat.

The Sharp FX Plus is a budget Android 2.2 smartphone for certain first-timers, but when it comes to some features, you get what you pay for.

Sharp FX Plus (AT&T)

The Sharp FX Plus is a good introduction to Android for texters on a budget.

Inexpensive. Solid QWERTY keyboard. Great battery life.

Sluggish performance. Poor camera.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions The FX Plus is a decent media phone. There’s 138MB of free internal memory, and Sharp includes a 2GB microSD card in a slot under the battery cover. My 32GB SanDisk card worked fine as well. The music player is stock...

Sharp FX Plus Review by Sydney

I'm not sure if the featurephone is dead or not, but phone manufacturers seem to think they are because they're flipping them all into smartphones.

Excellent physical keyboard; surprisingly good camera quality; slimmed-down, sleek design; Sharp's UI adds just enough to keep it interesting

Low screen quality results in a rough texture and unresponsiveness; slow processor performance; terrible video capture quality

It may seem like there are more Pros than Cons, but the Cons are huge problems and the Pros hardly make up for them. Check into something else offered by AT&T.

"Awful phone, died twice, do not buy!"

We bought this phone - and literally the day after we started using it, the screen started flickering and looking funny, then it wouldn't even start at all. We took it back to the store where we bought it, and they said it was a bad battery and...

Cheap. That's it. Still not worth the price.

"FX plus could have been great, but isn't"

I bought this phone after the screen went out on my MyTouch 3G Slide. I liked the price for a brand new unlocked one I found on ebay. I compared it to my old phone with geekaphone.com and it was very comparable. It has a 600mhz processor, just like my...

Android phone with a nice physical qwerty keyboard. Appears to be fairly durable.

This phone is so slow and unresponsive!

Worked right away for friend in Cuba!

A friend asked me to help her friend in Cuba get a phone. This model worked great. I set it up for him up here by creating a Google account for him, added an 8 GB SD card ($10) and installed free MapDroyd and navigable maps of Cuba (as Wi-Fi is rare...
