LG Rumor2 Review

The Rumor2 is slightly superior to the Samsung Rant in three prime areas, but is that enough to set it apart...

LG Rumor 2 (Sprint)

The LG Rumor 2 for Sprint isn't a bad messaging phone, it's just that the same-price Samsung Rant is much better.

Sharp screen. Solid e-mail program. Comfortable keyboard. Excellent battery life.

No 3G support. Lacks Sprint's One Click interface. No video recording or playback.

LG Rumor2 review

Though a flood of messaging phones hit the market in the latter half of 2008, the trend really began a year earlier with Sprint's original LG Rumor . The handset offered a lot to like, including a roomy keyboard and respectable features, and while it...

The LG Rumor2 has an easy-to-use design with a vibrant display and a spacious keyboard. It offers solid call quality and extensive e-mail and messaging support.

With a low-res camera and no 3G support, the LG Rumor2 offers no improvements over the original Rumor other than the support for corporate e-mail. The navigation controls and numeric keypad buttons are slick, and the e-mail syncing is unreliable.

The LG Rumor2 is a great option for a messaging phone, but LG missed the opportunity to make it both new and improved.

LG Rumor2 Review

The Rumor was a huge sales success for LG and Sprint, bringing QWERTY to the low end. It was not without issues however; LG's charging port was notoriously bad, the keyboard and display had a tendency to go bad and the device continues to have a power...

A review of the LG Rumor 2, now available on Virgin Mobile and Sprint Does this phone still deserve some attention four years down the line? Join our attempt to answer that question and many more as the LG Rumor 2 gets reviewed.

The LG Rumor 2 is a below average phone in almost every aspect, its underwhelming performance for a rather steep price tag make this phone a very unlikely buy. The Samsung Rant is an almost identical phone physically, while it comes with 3G, Video...

LG Rumor 2

When the original LG Rumor hit the market back in 2007, it was well received as a spacious and easy-to-use messaging phone. The design and build materials caught a lot of press, and appropriately so, as it was a solid slider geared toward a youthful...

The LG Rumor2 is a stylish, fantastic messaging phone that comes complete with an impressive keyboard. The phone is ridiculously easy to use and a worthwhile purchase.

Middle-of-the-road messaging phone for Sprint and Alltel

The LG Rumor2 (*Est. $80) is the updated version of the Rumor (free with new contract) offered by Sprint; it is also sold as the LG Banter (*Est. $20) by Alltel. Although the Rumor2 is discussed by more sources than the Banter, the phones are...

Better design than original Rumor, full QWERTY keyboard, good reception and call quality, support for corporate email

LG Rumor 2 Review - Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

The original LG Rumor, released in late October 2007 by Sprint, sold well. It was an affordable texting phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, good looks and a sturdy build. 1.5 years later, Sprint and LG Rumor have released the Rumor 2. The new model...

Sleeker and cooler looking than the original Rumor. Awesome keyboard and very good reception. Good messaging support and reasonable GPS performance ;

Not much change from the original Rumor. Voice quality isn’t very good. No EVDO. Battery life has decreased from the original. Can’t record video. No AAC support for music playback

The LG Rumor 2 feels like the original Rumor in sleeker clothing. While we dig the roomier keyboard with its added number row and the higher resolution screen, we find the phone largely remains similar to the original Rumor. For budget-minded texting...
