Kyocera Milano - black (Sprint) review: Kyocera Milano - black (Sprint)

The last time Kyocera released a smartphone in the U.S., it bet big on the unusual dual-screen Kyocera Echo , with a design so wacky that the phone fizzled out due to lack of interest. The Japan-based manufacturer is ready to try again with Android ,...

The Kyocera Milano has a great physical keyboard, and ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile hot-spot support.

The Kyocera Milano is hampered by a small and lackluster display, and it doesn't take great photos.

The Kyocera Milano is certainly an affordable entry-level Android phone, but Sprint customers have better options available to them.

Kyocera Milano review

Entry-level, a hard keyboard, and an interesting form factorI've got to hand it to any carrier (and manufacturer) for continuing to make and sell entry-level Android phones. Without them, a...

The processor inside the Milano is clocked at a steady 800 MHz, but before you go lighting the torches and brandishing the pitchforks, remember that it's only got to fill up a 3-inch screen. If this was say, the Bionic, that'd be justified, but for the...

Kyocera Milano

The Kyocera Milano's low price is part of its allure, and it does offer some valuable features, including hotspot capabilities for up to five devices, a large and dedicated QWERTY keyboard, Swype capabilities, and EcoMode for power management. Consumer...

"Decent Basic Phone"

I like the phone, but I mostly use it for texting and calling. I don't surf the web, but I like to have a couple apps for fun when I am out and about with nothing else to do.

Qwerty physical keyboard

Little internal memory - Can't load many apps even with micro SD

"Nothing much."

My mom had this phone for maybe 2 months as a replacement to her Samsung Replenish. This phone was a nightmare. Went from one nightmare to another. It seemed like a good phone at first then things went downhill right away. After maybe downloading a few...

Ok web browser.

Constantly overheated.

"Don't buy a Kyocera"

Kyocera phones are junk.

While screen worked well that was it until it wouldn't charge.

The warranty is useless. The phone wouldn't charge and the manufacturer will not cover. The phone is 5 months old and useless.

Kyocera Milano

Overall the Kyocera Milano is a good phone. I love the size, which makes it easy to hold if you have small hands, but it wasn't quite what I expected. I was disappointed that the camera does not have a flash so some pictures come out dark, but on the...
