Review: HTC Fuze

Some people have really bad phone skills. You'll ask a question and they'll take forever to answer, or they just sit there on the line,...

Great-looking screen and a full keyboard make a good first impression. 40 ringtones (that aren’t all Korean karaoke pop) and a loud ringer give you plenty of choice for your sound. Bluetooth, WiFi and AT&T GPS round out the feature set

A consistently slow, drowsy response time will not go over well with the ADHD set. Works OK with a stylus, but the screen only works half the time with finger presses. Clunky adapter takes the place of a dedicated headset jack. The phone only wakes up...

Fuze

The feature-rich HTC Fuze for AT&T is a stylish cell phone with a responsive touch screen and a gorgeous display. But the Fuze's sluggish performance and average keyboard proved frustrating in our tests.

Stunning VGA display Intuitivve user interface

Performance can be slow No standard headphone jack

Overall the Fuze impresses with a gorgeous display and a variety of multimedia features, but HTC still has a few kinks to work out in the phone's interface, performance-wise

HTC Fuze (AT&T)

HTC's TouchFLO gets a full keyboard with the slick, but imperfect Fuze for AT&T.

Attractive design. Bright, high-resolution screen. Five-row QWERTY keyboard. Solid Web browser.

Expensive. Large and Thick. Sluggish at times. Poor speakerphone and camera. No dedicated Camera button.

HTC Fuze (AT&T) review: HTC Fuze (AT&T)

The HTC Fuze for AT&T ships with Windows Mobile 6.1, push e-mail capabilities, and a good helping of multimedia features, including a 3.2 megapixel camera. Other highlights include a full QWERTY keyboard; VGA touch screen; Wi-Fi; Bluetooth: GPS; and...

The HTC Fuze doesn't have a standard headphone jack, and the smartphone is a bit bulky. Speakerphone quality isn't the greatest and streaming video can cause the phone to stall. It's also pricey.

For AT&T business customers who demand the most out of their smartphones, the HTC Fuze is up to the task, delivering plenty of features, good performance, and a functional design.

HTC Fuze

The AT&T Fuze, also known as the HTC Touch Pro, is a smartphone running the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. It has a gorgeous 2.8-inch touchscreen with VGA resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with an auto-focus lens...

While the Fuze looks petite, it's thick and heavy, which doesn't make for an entirely pleasant experience for long phone conversations or carrying it in a pants pocket. The rear cover is faceted to give the impression of a cut jewel and isn't all that...

Video Tour: HTC Fuze

HTC's TouchPro comes to AT&T as the Fuze with its TouchFLO 3D user interface and a full QWERTY keyboard. It is a capable messaging and multimedia device marred only by Microsoft's Windows Mobile.

HTC Fuze

Love the HTC Touch Diamond but want a keyboard? Looked at the Sprint HTC Touch Pro with longing but feel loyal to AT&T? Your time has come: AT&T has launched their version of the Touch Pro, dubbed the HTC Fuze. The Fuze and its near cousins in the...

Wonderful display, TouchFLO 3D does a good job of making WinMo more fun, attractive and easy to use. Good multimedia support, the usual excellent WinMo business-oriented features (Exchange, push email, syncing with desktops or Exchange over the air),...

GPS cold starts are mind-numbingly slow. Way too much bloatware. That AT&T gray theme is drab. Streaming video on YouTube sometimes proves too taxing for the phone (is this why AT&T removed the icon, or was that simply a bandwidth reduction measure?)....

Some of us have been waiting months for this phone to hit the US, and it's a formidable successor to the HTC Tilt. In terms of looks and size, it's a flat out winner. Though thicker than QWERTY bar phones, its relatively small width and height mean it...
