VHS to DVD thumbsdown

 

I've only had this player for less than 2 hours and I am considering sending it back already. Very discouraging that I cannot get my old VHS tapes to DVD easily.

DVD and VHS in one deck. HDMI Output. Communicates with my other Sony devices when plugged into them.

Big miss with HDCP

 

A nice package but could have been better. BTW, I didn't buy it on NewEgg. Just thought I would share my experience, since it is being sold on NewEgg.

Sleek multi-function unit. Firewire capability (see cons). Can upconvert VHS to your desired resolution and send it through HDMI. Finalized disc can be played on any (old) device

"It took a short time to set this up. Once set up using it was easy. I records and plays back very good. It will not let you record off from any premium channels as they are copyrighted movies or shows, not a bad thing, but it limits your capabilities...
