Don't plan to record most movies, etc.

 

Do not purchase a Sony to record. They come with their "copyright protection" which does not allow recording of most movies and shows. Since I purchased to record & watch later it was a "Big Waste of Money"!

I've only had one other dvr and it finally broke, BUT...I did NOT have to "finalize" my disc. This dvr took 8 minutes to finalize about 30 megs worth of content and now I can't use the disc to record more stuff. It's a waste of gigs on the disk. If I...

Not worth the trouble if used in conjunction with cable DVR

 

If you burn a dvd with this item, you not be able to play that dvd on any other dvd player.
