"Don't, it freezes constantly"
Tonight, we tried to add recordings for which there was plenty of room on the disk which worked before we left. Came home to "disc improperly formatted" So we not only lost the program scheduled tonight, but the last two nights also. I had replayed...
Features, but the unit rarely works
The unit constantly malfunctions. It is very slow to accept and register settings. It can take 5-10 minutes to power on just to insert or change disk. It frequently must be unplugged and allowed to reset.

Superior Product
Price is a little high but not bad. Wish it were around the $200 mark however.
This is by far the best DVD Recorder/VCR product I've owned. Once setup and programmed it really set's itself apart from other products. It's wide DVD compatibility, it's VP(Very long Play) feature for VHS Tapes that allows 10-15 hours of programming...
Have to turn off some of the power saving features to work as I would like it to. Such as auto shut-off, auto dim and the like. With these features off some of the issues that it has are resolved

Just plain old por quality product. UPS person told me that he shipped many of these back starting last year. This is the first Panasonic product that was not up to their standard of excellance. Shame on them.
Worked great for first 42 days
Bought on 4th of June and shipping it back on the 17th of July. Newegg did not have it in stock and bought it through big box store. Unit froze playing a time shift dvd-r/rw. Called Pana and went through whole re-set procedure twice. Cost me $25.81 to...

Solid unit for knowledgeable people interested in making good recordings
I have a very good digital signal and my clock is always correct. Unit gives very beautiful sound and crisp pictures. Unit records extremely well and from VCR to DVD. I purchased inexpensive Dual Layer +R media, RW RAM media, DVD +RW and DVD +R media....
The unit does exactly what Panasonic says it will when used with the recommended media. The user manual needs to be fully read, but it is thorough concerning every use and feature. Has no belts to break and destroy VCR tapes - solid state computerized...
Requires a good digital signal from braodcasters for the clock autoset feature to work, but it does work perfectly with a good signal. The user needs to purchase the correct media and be smart enough to make any needed menu adjustments before...
