Good to hold, feels very solid. Excellent zoom lens, (40X) ideal for photographing wildlife, also good macro feature for close up photos. Colour is good, no fading at the edges. Plenty of features and settings, easy to use.

Maybe a bit bigger than I expected, but it is carrying the big zoom lens. Hand held at maximum zoom there can be a bit of camera shake - blame the big lens! Photos can be a bit hazy at max zoom - just ease off the zoom a bit, and crop to fit.

Difficult to get used to the panoramic mode of 'photo stitching' after using an earlier model. IMO the old system of aligning some dots to take a sequence of 2-3 shots was far easier.
