I wish that I could deal with Newegg instead of Panasonic on the replacement issue. We'll see what happens. Still waiting......

Recorded DVDs have played on various other DVD players. Very easy to use. Only had 3 out of over 200 DVDs that couldn't record on. More of a DVD issue than a player issue, I think.

Video on the VHS tapes quit working after less than 2 months. Have contacted Panasonic and still awaiting their reply. Wouldn't record some home movies. They are not copyrighted so I'm not sure what the deal is.

The Sony rigs I bought that were suppossed to write DL discs never worked right. I took a chance and bought this unit because I have had good luck with Panasonic products in the past. So far, this unit does all it says it will do. Write DL discs flawlessl...

Some of the features of this unit are specific to working in conjunction with other Panasonic equipment only. The setup is a little confusing, but manageable. The remote is just OK. The power on startup seems very slow.

I've burned discs on DVD-R, DVD-RW& DVD+R DL. The -R & -RW discs worked on both DVD players & in my PC. When I tried using other media players like Power DVD, Nero Showtime or GOM player - they all worked with all discs. But I'm stumped as to the windows...

The picture quality is perfect. I watched a program on TV & burned it to DVD & couldn't tell the difference between live & burned.

DVD+R DL discs won't play on Windows Media Player 10 or on Windows XP Media Center.
