Thecus N5500 review: Thecus' N5500 is, like all of Thecus' lines, best suited to the professional user who doesn't mind tweaking the unit to get the most out of it.

As you can see here, there is an extra memory socket available for future upgrade, however, in my experience there's typically a diminishing return of performance for the cost involved when it comes to memory for RAID controllers.

Additionally, it's untuitive software makes it a snap to get things up and running in no time at all - if you're at all in the market for added storage, then I'd highly recommend the N5500.

The N5500 delivers a host of new storage related features, good client support and a vastly improved web interface but it's the dual-DOM feature that catches the eye.
